A Somali billboard repairman working in Dubai decides he wants to experience some of the products advertised on his boards–an experience that begins innocently enough, but quickly spins out of control, especially when a con man enters the picture.

Andres is a self-absorbed 27-year-old college dropout with an upper class upbringing, cynical demeanor and the narrator of the story. He is at a classy club in Santo Domingo drinking and partying with his friends. While everyone seems to be having a good time, Andres looks around and judges his environment and its shortcomings based on his cynicism and sarcastic point of view. Across the club, Andres sees a woman wearing a cat mask toasting champagne towards him without cutting eye contact.
