A disparate group of refugges from a despotic military regime. Among them a good girl “Djin”, ageing miner “Castin” and deaf-mute “Marie”. The deeper the protagonists venture into the jungle, the more Bunuel’s patented surrealism begins to surface. Only two of the escapees survive but they are not the most friendly ones.
