Giulio Campagna is a policeman with much experience and very little tact. After an investigation whose disastrous ending ruined not only his work on the case, but his marriage as well, he swears that he shall never again use information received from informers. But life does not always play fair. There is a drug shipment for which the contact is a certain Ortis, an old acquaintance of Campagna. His superior obliges him to get back in touch with the informer. But once Campagna has succeeded in gaining the mans trust, unexpected interference from the GICO organized crime task force leaves Campagna with no choice but to hand his informer over to another detective. But you must never betray an informers trust, because the informer could lose his life. Ortis dies, and there will be no peace for Campagna until he finds the culprits.
