The action in this film takes place in the autumn of 1972.Pavle Pavlovic, a metal worker, talks on television about the problems of the factory in which he works. The next day, Pavel`s friend, who work with him in the factory are enthusiastic about his television appearance since he expressed the same views as theirs. However, director of the factory asks Pavle Pavlovic to retract his statement in writing. In return they offer him a large, modern apartment. Pavle Pavlovic agrees, he got a large apartment on the 23rd floor, but he has lost both his friends and his job at the factory. Pavle Pavlovic is not happy with his beautiful apartment because he retracted his statement over TV he has a bad reputation and no one wants to see him any more.
