An old archeologist discovers what he has been looking for all his life: a Roman tombstone covering the passage from “this” to the “other” world. While trying to move it, the professor suffers a heart attack and dies soon afterwards. However, he is dead only for his environment: in fact, he is merely numb and finds himself in a stage somewhere “between life and death”. Being alive and dead at the same time, he establishes a connection between the living and the dead,lead by an insatiable wish to see their relatives and ancestors, pass through the passage which professor has discovered under the Roman Tombstone to join their beloved on “this“ world. But the world of the living is not as they thought it to be…
