The film, “Father by Force”, was made on the basis of comedies written by greatest Yugoslav playwright, Branislav Nusic. Police for publishing an anti-regime poem is chasing Zarko, a young poet. He seeks sanctuary with his friend Dusan, who presents him to his parents and his sister, Zorica, under the name of their school friend, Vlajko Micic. The sentimental attachment which immediately develops between the false “Vlajko” and Zorica is complicated by the fact that Zorica is in love with Zarko`s poems.
