It’s December, Hortensia’s (22) father is electrocuted when he opens the refrigerator door. On the last day of the year she is fired from work. That same night, she discovers that her boyfriend is cheating on her with her best friend. Alone and anxious, she finds a letter she wrote when she was fourteen. It reads: “Goals for Happiness: to marry a boy who is blond like my father and to design the most beautiful shoe in the world.” Her life suddenly regains meaning and she immediately makes decisions to fulfill her objectives. Unable to find solutions, things will only get worse while she fails to listen to her true self.
