Synopsis

An eagerly awaited return of John Woo to the cop thriller genre à la Killer and Hardboiled, this contemporary remake of the classic Japanese police thriller (君よ憤怒の河を渉れ) revolves around a Chinese man framed for murder in Japan, who must evade the fierce pursuit of the Japanese police and relentless attacks from mysterious killers to vindicate his name. All characters in this new version are beefed up, with high-octane action and breathless pursuit sequences galore.
