Maia, a single mother of Montreal, thought she was done with her past when she receives an unprecedented Christmal present: a handful of notebooks, audiotapes and photographs from the 80s. That's everything Maia mailed to her best friend when she was a teenager in Beirut before she fled with her family to escape the war.
