Police Officer Erwin Dam’s Christmas holiday is about to unfold as a complete catastrophe - at least that’s how his seven-year-old daughter Martha describes it. After a family argument that results in Erwin and his wife, Diana, both declaring their wishes to live apart, they pack their kids into the car and head to the cottage for what promises to be the worst Christmas ever.Bruno Cricket is doing time in prison for a bank robbery. On Christmas day, he receives an unexpected letter. There’s somewhere he needs to be, and he is determined to find a way to get there. Cleverly engineering his escape and traversing the icy cold of winter, his wishes are answered when he finds a small shed. Even better, the shed contains a trunk and the trunk holds the perfect disguise: a Santa suit.His true identity concealed, Bruno fires up an old snowmobile and speeds off. Everything runs smoothly for about five seconds until a car pulls up. Out climb Martha and her brother Tom and they’re running straight for him. Santa has arrived! Held prisoner by a 7-year old and her brother who hatch a scheme to save their family, Bruno must find a way to escape Christmas without blowing his cover.
