Nam-bong (Lee Soon-jae) has been a stubborn taxi driver all his life. He’s not too thrilled about his wife Mae-ja (Jung Young-sook), who always takes care of him, his son Jin-soo, who has his PhD but is jobless, Jinsoo’s wife Jung-hee, who always speaks her mind, and Eun-ji, his granddaughter who is too playful for his liking. Nam-bong is always quick to complain about his family who live with him.Then one day, Mae-ja, who has always been healthy and bright, shows signs of dementia. Suddenly disoriented with no memory of the present, Mae-ja recalls her daughter who died long time ago, panics, and turns the house upside down. Nam-bong explodes and sends his wife away to a nursing home.Although they lived together for a lifetime, Nam-bong has lost the same ‘feelings’ with his wife, but he begins to appreciate her more while living apart for the first time. Later, when he learns his best friend’s wife had suddenly passed away, Nam-bong brings Mae-ja back home to spend what’s left of their time together.
