Spain in the early 1800s. For 17 years, Lucia "La Llanera" hasbeen imprisoned. Every year, she was taken to the garrote,pardoned at the last minute each time. Finally, she is setfree, as is her son Juan, born and raised in her cell. For thefirst time, she will show Juan the outside world, though nothis father. Lagartijo, bandit of all bandits, died in the sameshowdown that got Lucia behind bars so long ago. Now, shemust realize that she and Juan are but pawns in the handsof the powers that be. Captured by Aceituno’s gang ofoutlaws, they are to be sold to none other than Lagartijo.The legend is alive!
