The government investigates the widows of Croatian soldiers in order to track down those living in extra-marital unions with the goal of taking away their late husbands’ pensions. Krešo, an unemployed biologist, is one of the men hired to do the job, and he does it with great success. However, things get complicated when he falls in love with one of the widows.
