28-year-old Ya Wang (Lu Shan) is a landscape designer who was born in a military family. When she was just 16 years old, her father had her take care of 10-year-old Xia Mu (Kris Wu). At a young age, Xia Mu had witnessed his mother’s death, thus becoming estranged with the world, but Ya Wang’s warmth slowly melts his heart. Meanwhile, Ya Wang’s childhood friend and lover, Xiao Tian (Han Geng), enlists in the army after high school graduation. There, he meets Wei Ran (Joo Won), who becomes jealous of the relationship between Xiao Tian and Ya Wang. As Wei Ran’s envy consumes him, the young trio are led down a path of contention and separation, with devastating results.
