“Detective Chinatown 2” is a sequel to its previous successful box office hit “Detective Chinatown”. Lead actor Wang Baoqiang (“Blind Shaft”, 2003) partners with Liu Haoran (“The Founding of an Army”, 2017) again to play the detective duo who solve the mystery of the murder of the grandson of the crime boss of Chinatown in New York. Directed and written by Chen Sicheng (“Detective Chinatown”, 2015), this detective comedy grosses above USD540 million since its initial release in China. Qin (Liu Haoran) comes to New York city to attend Tang (Wang Baoqiang) and Xiang's wedding only to find out that the so-called wedding is actually a world detective contest to search the missing grandson of Uncle Qi, the Chinatown godfather. Later it was found that Uncle Qi's grandson was murdered in a strange way. The contest has changed from searching a missing person to solving a murder case.
