Nobita finds a dinosaur egg which upon hatching reveals two dinosaurs which he names Kyu and Myu. People however wish to steal the pair and so Nobita and his friends travel 66 million years back in time to the Cretaceous period where they plan to set them free.

Attending an excavation experience at the museum, Nobita (Ohara) finds a fossilised dinosaur egg. Using his “Time Turban”, he returns the egg to its original form. Soon after, the egg hatches revealing two dinosaurs of a species previously unknown. Nobita names them Kyu (Endo) and Myu (Kugimiya) and although wanting to take care of the pair, he discovers there are people intent on stealing them. And so Nobita and his friends use a time machine to travel 66 million years back to the Cretaceous period where they plan to set Kyu and Myu free.
