Akira Sato (Okada) is the legendary killer known as The Fable. He continues to keep a low profile in Osaka with his colleague Yoko (Kimura) as they pretend to be ordinary siblings. He also continues to work at a design company where his boss and colleague are unaware of his former life as an assassin. Eventually though, Akira reunites with Hinako (Yurina Hirate), a wheelchair-bound girl who has a connection to some of his past assassinations. At the same time a target he never came to terminate, Utsobo (Shinichi), also re-emerges as an intelligent conman who also happens to be the girl’s caretaker.
