Hong Kong is rocked by a series of brutal murders. The victims are suspects of cold cases who have eluded arrest for many years. The group of killers, who call themselves “The Chosen Sleuths”, are vigilantes who take justice into their own hands and openly challenge the police. In response, the police form a task force of their own “chosen sleuths” to stop these criminals. Jun Lee (Lau) was a legend in law enforcement. That is before the onset of mental illness. Dismissed from duty, he now lives on the streets. To prove he can still cut it as a detective, he joins the task force commissioned to take down this group of vigilantes. Working with Detective Yee (Choi), it's a race against time to bring charges against those who elude arrest.
