After her car is struck by a meteorite, Fumi looks forward to a change in luck. That comes in the form of Goro Shinoda, a former dentist who moves to her town. After their paths cross, they grow close to one another and Fumi’s life, which had been on hold, slowly starts moving again.

Single and newly sober, Fumi (Kobayashi) lives a wholesome life in a small town among dear friends. One day whilst driving, her car is hit by a meteorite, the odds of which are 100 million to 1. Experiencing such an unlikely event, she’s sure this stroke of bad luck will be followed by a positive. Meanwhile, Goro Shinoda (Matsushige), a former Toyko dentist, moves to the town where she lives. He has experienced great loss, having failed to prevent his wife from committing suicide. Having lost her son in an accident, Fumi has also suffered her own unforgettable tragedy. After their paths cross, they grow close to one another and Fumi's life, which had been on hold, slowly starts moving again.
