On the verge of vanishing into obscurity, creative networker Norman Oppenheimer charms Micha Esher, a rising Israeli politician, with a spontaneous show of generosity. Norman, like any opportunist, wants to be important to powerful people. When Esher ascends to Prime Minister three years later, he remembers Norman’s kind gesture and elevates him into his inner circle. However, when the state of world politics is threatened, a sacrifice has to be made, and Norman is faced with the tough decision of choosing between his loyalty to Esher and letting go of his delusions of grandeur.
