Migration between Ukraine and Russia is in the second place in the world after the corridor Mexico – USA. Nearly 4 mln of migrants go through it annually. Statistics show that every 5th Ukrainian dreams about moving abroad. Nearly 20 mln of Ukrainians live all over the world, while the population of the country is 46 mln. Project “Goodbye, Ukraine!” is considered to tell about reasons which make Ukrainians move abroad. While speaking about it, directors don’t stint themselves in methods of expressiveness. Authors hail provocation and art extreme. Project “Goodbye, Ukraine!” consists of 30 short films. They are being shot by experienced directors who have been working in Ukrainian film industry for many years and were participants and prize-winners of numerous international film festivals and by young creative professionals who give a start to their career. They are supported by independent producers, Ukrainian and Russian distributors ArthouseTraffic and A-one film, film production studios Filmtoaster Production, Pronto, Esse House, ASD. Scripts has been written by famous Ukrainian script-writers working on TV and in film industry and by participants of the Laboratory of modern drama – formation which represented Ukraine in the numerous literature festivals. Best 6 films of the project will be released in cinemas and on DVD as one film which will consist of short films. All the other works will exist like a separate creative product and will have their own distributional and festival history.
