When the Blue Elves wake up from their long autumn sleep, they wake up to the coldest winter ever. Down in the valley where the Red Elves live the cold has caused a big crisis. A large glacier threatens to destroy their farm. The farmer has left the farm already and the Red Elves will soon be forced to do the same unless Queen Mountain Rose can help them. Queen Mountain Rose has heard about an old tale which tells about a magical Blue Horn that can change the weather. It was hidden away in the Grey Mountain many hundred years ago. If she could find it, she can blow in to call the mild weather and melt the glacier away. But the Blue Elves warn about the horn. It was hidden far away because it also has the power to make the weather even colder and invoke the dreaded Blue Storm. Last time it was used, things went wrong and it was disastrous for the blue Elves. Mountain Rose and Boy defy the warnings of the elders and set out on an adventurous hunt for the horn. On their journey they meet both strange and comical characters. But should they have listened to the warnings…?
