WHITE FROG is an emotional story of the universal power of family, friendship and love positioned to appeal to a broad audience in vein of ORDINARY PEOPLE meets STAND BY ME. CHAZ YOUNG, 18, (GLEE’s Harry Shum Jr.) is the perfect son, the most popular kid in school with a close circle of great friends, headed for the Ivy League, and the best older brother a sibling could ask for -- particularly for NICK, 15, (TWILIGHT SAGA’s Booboo Stewart) who struggles with Asperger’s Syndrome. At home, Chaz keeps the peace between his father OLIVER (LAW AND ORDER’s BD Wong) and mother IRENE (THE LAST EMPEROR’s Joan Chen) while running interference for Nick who is barely acknowledged by his conservative parents. When Chaz dies in a tragic car accident, the family spirals into disarray. Nick, without his anchor, turns to Chaz’s friends for answers and discovers that in life and family there are secrets and lies, defeat and accomplishment, triumph and love.
