Synopsis
Flora, a journalist in a Western country, comes to her homeland to trace the early life/identity of Mother Teresa or Anjeza Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, to produce a feature. But soon she will face the surprise of her own identity. Two different lives, in search of their identities, so badly effected by the past, during the communist system.
A secret of the past, a relationship of death and life that only a system like communism can produce, will stretch its tentacles in the present days. A yesterday relationship between the individual and the state with all its atrocities results with a dilemma of today’s choice.
SYNOPSES
Flora, born and grown up in Albania during the communist regime, leaves the country in 1990 and luckily, years later she works as a journalist for an European Media Company. She arrives at her birth city to find the early traces of Mother Teresa answering a number of questions yet without answers on her identity and life, but instead she finds unknown traces of her own roots and her own identity. Her mother of Austrian origin and a beautiful ballerina, has passed away; Flora knew her father was a free poet, imprisoned and dissolved in the lime pits during communism. But a knock at her door… and she will meet Zigur, a stranger who wants to hang himself in her house pretending to be her father.
The story of the film will be build up on the two main lines, growing up together and "playing together" that are the early life identity of Mother Teresa and the identity of the main character, Flora.
While Flora asks for answers on questions like: who was Mother Teresa’s family, why she became a nun starting at the Church of Black Madonna, in Letnica, Kosovo, right the place she decided to adopt a life of religious devotion, why her family moved to Kosovo, and then, to Albania, the relationships between Mother Teresa, her family and the Communist regime, what happened with her after the collapse of the regime, travelling in Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania, etc. – but she will also have to find answers of her own identity, facing hard dilemmas.
