By the seaside, there was a beautiful deaf girl, Xiao Ou whose fiance had gone to work beyond the sea. A year later, the mother of the fiance asks her son’s former classmate, a young tailor, to make a bottom drawer for Xiao Ou, because her son is coming back to get married soon. Xiao Ou is hardly ever in contact with others and keeps a special watchful eye on the stranger in her home--the young tailor. The sea overturned, the brother and sister-in-law disappear without trace. The little tailor does not know how to help Xiao Ou. During the rattled days, Xiao Ou and the young tailor show tender care for each other and secretly fall in love. Xiao Ou’s elder brother and sister-in-law come back and the brother’s legs are broken from the mast. As the date of the marriage approaches, they start to watch Xiao Ou. Sadly, although the two young lovers are near one another, they cannot stay by themselves. The young tailor is gone. Looking at the boundless sea coastline and the soaring seawater under her feet, bravely Xiao Ou runs to the passenger ship……
