Santiago de Chile: The city is hot and dangerous in summer. That doesn't make the search for love any easier. Cristina, a young Mapuche girl from southern Chile, works as a nurse in Santiago. In her free time she plays "Streetfighter II" on the screen or roams through the city. In the park, she not only meets the attractive gardener Manuel, but also finds a mysterious briefcase in a garbage can. Its contents reveal intimate things about the life of its owner: Tristan, a young upper-class architect, has just been abandoned by his lover and has lost his job due to a construction workers' strike. He also wanders restlessly through Santiago and finally ends up in his old children's room in his mother's sophisticated villa, who lives with a somewhat dubious magician. Cristina follows Tristan and penetrates deeper and deeper into his life, following his every step without Tristan noticing. The architect does not see Cristina, she is invisible to him and the other residents of the upper-middle-class part of town where he lives. She has long black hair, darker skin - a servant to be overlooked. But one day the two meet...
