Ryuan family is the yakuza syndicate based in Yokohama for generations. According to the teachings of its leader, Engetsu, drug trafficking was strictly forbidden. However, it was a difficult time for the yakuza to make a living and many clans are going through tough times.
Mori from the Ryuan family assassinated the leader of the Yamagami family, a rival clan. This was done in
order to faithfully follow the teachings of Engetsu when he found out about the drug trade, but it caused a
confrontation between Mori and Doi who takes a neutral stance.
Meanwhile, Engetsu talks to Mori and asks him to take care of his son, Saiga and make him a fully grown man. Saiga, Engetsu's son, has a reckless personality and a rough temper. He works as a live-in trainee for the Mori family, led by Mori, but he quickly leaves the family, saying, "I donʼt want to be yakuza. Itʼs not only unprofitable but also
troublesome. Upon hearing what Saiga said, Engetsu decided to disown him. In fact, Saiga was the one who wanted to gain Engetsu's acceptance the most, in the meantime, someone tries to assassinate Engetsu...
