Synopsis

A group of musicians discover an LP, a music piece done over 40 years ago, that tells the story of a hero from La Rioja during one of the most savage times during the political organization of Argentina. They decide to record this LP again and start to call musicians and singers to renew the old versions.
Together with the old songs and the new versions we will go inside Angel Vicente Peñaloza’s history, El Chacho, an authentic leader, loved and respected by his people and feared and hated by his enemies.
“The plains’ heartbeat” pretends to rescue the man that never betrayed his people and faced all and each one, that for ambition or greed, looked for
his people’s domination, but it also tries to get closer to our folk music and rescue our musical roots.
