This is the life story of Haru Kobayashi, the last Goze woman who, despite being burdened with the severest of disabilities, blindness, since birth, bravely persevered, overcoming numerous obstacles, eventually rising to become a Saint-like “Goze” traveling singer and story teller, faithfully following her mother’s teachings, being completely free of envy or prejudice, quietly accepting her fate and finding contentment in the giving of pleasure to others.
