Monica and Mattia love each other but the death of Monica's brother irreparably breaks the balance of their young lives. Mattia moves away and Monica remains to work with her father in his restaurant. Everything seems to be back to normality, but the restored balance will be soon disrupted again.

Monica and Mattia love each other but the death of Monica's brother, Federico, irreparably breaks the balance of their young lives. Mattia decides to move away from the seaside town where they live, while Monica chooses to stay and work with her father Nunzio, a small town criminal, in his restaurant. Everything, or almost, seems to be back to normal. But the new fragile balance just established in their lives will be soon upset again.
