Based on a true story,the film stars a young man in his 20s full of life and plans for the future.
His life changes when, during a vacation in the United States, he is seized by severe abdominal pains that force him to return to Italy immediately and in an erratic manner. He is rushed to hospital and the doctors' response leaves no doubt: an immediate liver transplant is needed.
This is the beginning of an odyssey that will lead Philip to make important decisions and put aside his passions. But, thanks to his will to live and the deep bond with his parents, he manages to face this difficult situation with a smile.
Having weathered the storm, Filippo takes his life back into his own hands. A new life, given to him by someone he will never know but who, nevertheless, will forever be his best friend. A friend for life!
