Synopsis

Rogelio (9) wants to unravel the mystery of death. During summer vacation, his parents send him
off to Yucatán with his Mayan nanny. Through the local boys he meets Emilio, an old hermit who
they call Xibalba Monster; it is said Emilio is sick but has made a deal with the Lords of the Mayan
underworld to remain amongst the living.
