The film tells the story of the Terra Cambará family and their archrivals the Amaral family. The story tells 150 years of history, starting with the Missions until the end of the 19th century. From the point of view of the rivalry between the two families, the formation of Rio Grande de Sul, the settlement of the Brazilian territory and the demarcation of the frontiers are forged in iron and the sword through the conflicts between the Portuguese and Spanish crowns.
