After his son died in an accident, Cheng approached the wife of the driver responsible and asked to be given another child. Amongst court's order, medical bill and Cheng's wife terrorising behaviour, Zhen faces the paradoxes of an immoral decision.

A village in southern China. YU and MAN have a little daughter Yaya while richer neighbour CHENG and wife ZHEN have a son ZHUANG. When Zhuang dies in a car accident on Man’s electrical tricycle, the court orders Yu to pay 120,000 dollars even Man is also badly injured. As Zhen confesses she is unable to have another child, Cheng gets drunk and intrudes Yu’s house, demanding her to give him a new son. A distressed Yu finds herself caught up in an inevitable tragic event on the road to redemption.
