Andalé became a teenager just as the war turned everyday life into a living hell. She is severely traumatised after being brutally raped and her parents spend all their savings fleeing to Norway, hoping to secure a safe future for Andalé and the family. Kasper grew up in a home where emotions and togetherness have taken precedence over the pursuit of material status and has always had close contact with nature. A warm summer day the two of them meet and love arise. The precious moments Kasper and Andalé spend together out on the magical island becomes the highlight of their lives. When Andalé´s family is deported, all future hope is lost.
