Synopsis

The star of SOMETHING HUGE, Berto Romero, after years of success in film & TV wants to explore 'a new shape of comedy': the comedy of the future. In parallel, Carlo Padial, director of experimental films & documentaries, is exploring a new comedy route - both will meet under casual circumstances. SOMETHING HUGE is the hilariously moving and inspiring journey of a comedian (Berto Romero) and an indie film director (Carlo Padial) who decide to create 'the biggest, most forthcoming and futuristic comedy ever made in Spain'. The project, named SOMETHING HUGE, will need a big team, healthy production and many special effects. They both have the best intentions to make it work, nevertheless they will run into complications that will make it difficult for them to wrap 'the biggest futuristic comedy in the history of Spanish cinema'.

They will soon realise that not only do they not have enough resources to finish the film but that neither themselves (nor anyone in the crew) really know what the film is actually about. The film, shot in mockumentary style, follows Berto Romero through the preparation and filming process of the futuristic comedy, full of special effects and showing all the technical hurdles as well his human side - both as a comedian and as a person.

Is SOMETHING HUGE the seed of a masterpiece, mysterious and oddly fun or is it the greatest most expensive spoof in history? SOMETHING HUGE is the story of a dream. A story of underdogs, naivety, caos, chromas, visual effects, craziness and a lot of banter and teasing. So much banter it will make you cry.
