A high school girl, Yuri, has a fight with her mother and runs away, where she ends up spending the night in an old WWII bomb shelter. When she wakes up, the world around her looks old-fashioned. She faints from dehydration and is rescued by a soldier, Akira. He also takes her to a restaurant owned by Tsuru, where group of soldiers gathers for meal. Yuri soon realizes that she had somehow slipped back to year 1945, and that the soldiers including Akira, are all volunteer soldiers. Tsuru, assuming that Yuri has lost her family, suggests her to move in and work at the restaurant. Yuri agrees, and her life in 1945 begins. Yuri, knowing what would happen, tries to persuade the soldiers to live, but the soldiers won’t listen, believing that their mission will succeed. Akira takes Yuri to a lily hill to calm her down. Yuri and Akira gradually becomes attracted to each other, but Akira’s mission date steadily approaches.
