Suffocated by the debts her mother left her after her passing, JJ a white low class woman takes on a road trip from the USA to Baja California looking for an old love to save her from her troubled self. Esmeralda, a 14 years old teenage chicana meets JJ while she was working as a waitress for a party at Esmeraldas house. Esmeralda jumps at the opportunity to join JJ by lying to her, asking her to take her to the place where her father died. They will get to know each other's secrets and suffering along the way.
