Synopsis

Girl dog Lotte’s little sister Roosi is born in Gadgetville. Roosi starts discovering the world for herself with Lotte’s help.

The scientists Karl the Raccoon and Victor the Fish arrive in Gadgetville. Karl is a cheerful optimist but Victor is a sceptic and a grumbler. Victor lives in water poured into Karl’s breast pocket. The scientists are participating in a big folk song collecting competition. Whoever succeeds in recording the most folk songs is the winner of the competition. If, however, someone succeeds in recording the folk song of the world’s oldest animal species – the fire-breathing dragons, the championship cup is automatically awarded to him. Karl believes that they will one day record the folk song of the fire-breathing dragons. Victor believes that fire-breathing dragons are imaginary.

Roosi and Lotte end up with the moles John and James, who live under the carrot patch in Lotte’s yard. There is a travel diary in the well-stocked library of the moles where one of their forefathers, who was a world traveller, wrote a couple of centuries ago how to reach the fire-breathing dragons. Lotte and Roosi decide to enter the competition as well and to go find the fire-breathing dragons. After many unexpected adventures full of surprises, the sisters make it to the dragons who live at the bottom of an old volcanic crater that has died out. Lotte helps solve a great misunderstanding that arose among the dragons a hundred years ago that caused a dragon wedding to be called off. Now the wedding celebration can continue. The dragons start singing their ancient folk song and multicoloured sparks of fire rise up to the sky. They come from the mouth of a mechanical dragon built especially for fireworks. Just then, the scientists Karl and Victor arrive in the crater.
