The film is based on real stories that are told by three mothers living distinctive lives when their realities change in a moment. Ruth, whose son is having problems with drug use; Elisa, needs to conquer her husband´s constant absences from home dedicates herself continually to her son, the young Theo; and Lara, a teacher dealing with the dilemma of an unwanted pregnancy. Their stories are interwoven when they receive comfort and reconnect with hope through the contact they make with Chico Xavier, a spiritual medium.
