Synopsis

He is a man whom history has cast in an evil light and
discarded. He is an unknown face lost in a dark corner of the British justice system.

He represented Black Power in Britain in the late 1960s. He established the Notting Hill Carnival, The London Free School and Defence, a free legal service for black people.

He counted John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Muhammad Ali, Mick Jagger, Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd and William Burroughs among his friends and advocates.

He was a poet, a writer, a husband, a lover, a father and a revolutionary. He was a pimp, a hustler, a drug dealing enforcer and a convicted murderer.

Hung by the neck for a crime that many argue he did not commit, his execution was sanctioned by the British Government 10 years after Great Britain had abolished the Death Penalty.

He was a man who fought to make a difference but who led his life on the edge of the law. He was a man who tried to step out for his people but crossed the line.

His name was Michael X.
