Tom Sorley is an ambitious American Football coach on the verge of finally winning some silverwear when a bad call from an umpire and an insult from a rival fan leaves Tom seeing red and the fan seeing his fist. To get away from the media attention Tom hides out in a small village in Ireland only to find himself facing his biggest challenge yet, managing the local Gaelic Football team.
