Rico is doing just great. His best friend Oskar now also lives with him and his father Lars at Dieffe 93. When the old Fitzke from the fourth floor dies, he passes his whole collection of stones on to Rico. Even though Oskar is of the opinion that they are worth nothing at all and they should just quickly throw them all out, Rico thinks differently. And sure enough, already in the very night after the funeral, the boys can hear someone break in to Fitzke´s apartment. As they investigate the next day, they find the old man´s most precious stone, of all things, missing! Oskar´s initial reaction is to simply try and forget the whole ordeal, yet Rico has made a promise at old Fitzke´s grave to honor his inheritance. To him, the case is clear-cut: They will have to get the stone back. The boys quickly decide to take the train to Prerow where they hope to find the main suspect in the case, Fitzke´s foster daugther Julia Bonhöfer, who seems to have settled there.Their journey to the Baltic Sea will not only be Rico and Oskar´s biggest adventure but also become the greatest test their friendship has ever had to endure…
