Synopsis
Though Royalty fascinates the world, little to no films are made of African royalty, heritage or traditions. During Cannes Film Festival 2019 and “Year of the Return,” history was made when “Wakanda Royalty meets Native American and European Nobility. The historic moment marks the first time ever an African Royal Empire performs a Royal Installment during Festival de Cannes with European Nobility and Native American participation. The event took place during the annual AFI World Peace Initiative Annual “World Peace & Tolerance Gala,” where the organization's Founder award winning multi-media talent (HRH Princess) Angelique Monét was officially installed as a Pan-African Royal and welcomed into the Royal House of Anoko (HRM Oba Adedoyin Akarigbo Anoko II in an official ceremony performed by the late Paramount Rulers Grand-daughter HRH Princess Moradeun Adedoyin-Solarin and HRH Princess Toyin Onagoruwa (Authentic True 'Princesses') The film showcases the Official Headwrapping, Shoulder Draping, and naming ceremony with the traditional ‘Aso-Oke’ Royal Fabric.
The film also highlights esteemed royals speaking of Monet's humanitarian deeds in Cannes with her United Nations supported organization and the meaning of her Traditional Yoruba name given to her at the “Installment,” meaning “My Crowns have Increased.”
This film celebrates culture, diversity, world peace, and “Year of the Return.” It is the first time anything of it’s magnitude has taken place and should not go unnoticed and is a celebration of Traditions, Royalty, and legacies that are still in existence and often overlooked due to Colonization and Royalty Non-Reigning thought to be long gone.
Monet was accompanied and supported by German royalty to support her ancestry (Anglo-Saxon, Germanic), in edition to Native American elders (her friends to support her Native American ancestry). Native American and Indigenous Ancient drumming was performed during Her Highness Installment Ceremony, marking this as the first time in history that Native American drums were played during an African Installment Ceremony. For Monet it was organic, and authentic because often Native Americans are overlooked and forgotten.
To highlight and strengthen Monet's role to continue highlighting and providing resources for under-served and the under-represented community (specifically the Children of the Transatlantic Slave Trade) Goodwill Ambassador Delois Blakely Queen Mother also was in attendance and walked (HRH Princess) Angelique Monet after being escorted by the Royal German House to receive her "Installment."
The film is the "First Time Ever" on many levels, especially in the areas of Royalty, Africa, Native Americans, and African Americans. This is the first time any royal has had a royal ceremony during Festival de Cannes, the first time an African Installment Ceremony or any royalty initiation has taken place during Festival de Cannes, the first time Bollywood, Hollywood, and Nollywood top executives and actors were present during a royal ceremony anywhere worldwide, the first time an humanitarian event has an "Installment Ceremony," for a Royal Princess during Festival de Cannes, the first time an African Installment or initiation ceremony has Native American drumming, The First time an African American has a "Naming Royal Installment," during Festival de Cannes. The first time ever any African Installment has European, Asian, African, and Native American and Indigenous Royalty present to support one individual and an African American female.
