Rintaro Okabe is a university student who refers to himself as the “mad scientist”, and lives with an extreme level of self-consciousness, known as “Chuni-Byo”. By chance, he and his friends discover that they can send emails, known as “D-mails” into the past. This results in the cruel death of one of his friends, despite multiple changes to past history (movement of the perimeters of this world)… Okabe is beset by despair, but finds a single source of hope in the idea that there is a future without death beyond the world perimeter known as “STEINS;GATE”. Crossing the axes of time and solving complex riddles leads Okabe, finally, to “STEINS;GATE”. But Okabe’s brain, having crossed many world perimeters, has begun to suffer from excessive overloading…
