For his fortieth movie, Frederick Wiseman chose to capture the life of the famous museum of London, the National Gallery. Faithful to its approach of exploration of the functioning of institutions undertaken since its first movie in 1967, Wiseman approaches, with the museum institution, a world strictly associated with its own cinema: the representation by the image.
