An ordinary man, with the ordinary name of Ernesto, one day meets a super-natural being who presents him with a Faustian opportunity: to go back in time and relive his youth in order to improve his life today. Pudgy, bitter, loud and not too swift, Ernesto logically jumps at this opportunity. Telling his chubby wife, 'Darling I'm just going out for cigarettes and will be right back', Ernesto quickly leaves because for once in his life he does not want to miss an amazing opportunity! This dry comedy then launches into a nightmarishly funny inversion of Forrest Gump mixed with catnip for pessimists: that things are bound to stay the same is depressing… yet oddly reassuring.
