Synopsis

Based on true facts, the film tells the story of the young Uruguayan woman poet, Delmira Agustini, bound up in the pleasure, trance and terror of writing and the freedom that it gives her in Montevideo at the turn of the 20th century, just before the outbreak of the First World War. Amanhã (“Tomorrow”, in Portuguese) is also a story of the discovery of love and its power of enchantment, while risking her life. That wavers between fantasy and tragedy, rise and fall, French and Portuguese, modern cinema and classic film.
