Synopsis

It seemed like a great idea at the time. Four sons on a tribute “surfari” to the infamous summer city, where one of their father’s had been murdered three decades ago. Meanwhile, the surviving fathers have invested in a ‘guaranteed’ but shady deal that will set them, and their sons, up for life.
The rough, but attractive leader of the young pack, Sean Bindaboo, fresh from prison and trying to go straight, backslides and steals a car not knowing it was from a mob boss who sends his best hard man - Frank - in pursuit. This in turn opens a can of worms that attracts friction and mayhem as the boys travel north to the sun and surf. Unbeknownst to his friends, Sean also has a plan to repay an old debt, and with a clean slate, start a new life with his girlfriend - Kate.
As the boys head north – it all goes south – the fathers’ investment deal turns sour, and Sean gets swept up in a drug deal that could ruin everything, which sees the sons of summer caught in the rip tide. As Frank closes in on Sean and the gang, and the sun sets on the huge waves of Summer City – everything comes to a head aboard an old trawler where past and future collide.
