Irish carpenter, Colly, lives in Bronx and works with a hard partying crew of Irish construction workers in New York City. He's a poet at heart and struggling to stay sober. He's not sure if he has the talent to make a go of it as a playwright, but something's gotta change if he's to survive this town. Based on the writer/director's own twenty years working as a carpenter in NYC, Emerald City marks the directorial debut of a filmmaker who cut his teeth on a work site.
